Amazon: The Best Place to Buy Cheap Cell Phones
By nickshamrock
Need a New Phone?
People are always in need of new cell phones. Whether they are fed up with their existing cell phones, or a phone breaks, normally phones are not cheap. However, Amazon does an amazing job selling cell phones for a dirt cheap price that other stores can't compete with. The only catch is that typically you do need to start a new phone plan with these orders. But what I normally do is when I need a new phone, I cancel my subscription with a cell phone company and order these phones for cheap. You can get a $500 phone for the cost of $150 subscription cancellation and a the cost of a cheap phone which can sometimes be only a penny! If you don't need to cancel the phone, you only have to pay the price shown. One cent for a new phone isn't half bad. Keep reading to see what kind of deals you can get, and click on the ad to buy the phones directly from amazon!
If you're skeptical, and think this is a scam, I provided links directly to Amazon.com that will show you more phones for sale, or you can just visit Amazon.com yourself.
Verizon Wireless Phones
You can buy the Motorola DROID A855 phone, which is normally $500 for only $25. The example that I previously stated is that if you are in a contract, cancel it. Switch over to Verizon ( You can begin a plan when you buy the phone) and still get this phone at a bargain (between $175 and $200). If you DON'T have a plan, already, all you have to pay is the $25, and usually shipping is free. Check out the other cool Verizon phone deals to the right.
Be sure to click on the ads for more details on the phones as well. Also, be aware that the prices shown are for just the phones. If you plan to start a new 2 year contract, the discounted price will be shown once you click the link.
AT&T Phones
Here's some AT&T phones that are pretty much up for grabs. For some reason, they don't have the iPhone available, so I apologize for that... I'm sure it's part of some douchebaggery that is the fault of Apple. Speaking of which, make sure you get the Microsoft Windows Phone 7, which is an amazing phone! Again, If you plan to start a new 2 year contract, the discounted price will be shown once you click the link.
Sprint Cell Phones
I've been a customer of Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile. Verizon wireless has the best service, so far, but Sprint has the best customer service BAR NONE. When I told them I was canceling my plan because of a broken phone, they offered to cut my bill in half for life, as well as give me $150 credit for a new phone. If you love Sprint, I suggest you stay with them. Verizon has crap customer service, because they have so many customers. They can afford to lose one or two. I'm currently with T-Mobile, and they have quality phones, so I haven't had to deal with their customer service. Their service area, however sucks. I give them credit, though. They have been growing it and getting better. To the right you'll find some cheap Sprint cell phones. The prices shown are NOT the price you will pay with a new 2 year contract! So be sure to click the link and see how very little you will pay!
T-Mobile Cell Phones
I don't really have any complaints about T-Mobile, besides the fact that I can't get service in large buildings and open country areas. I guess it would be different from area to area. I have a Samsung Behold, which was cool when I first got it, but now that I'm used to touch screen, I wish I would have gotten something else. It's buttons are a bit small, and I have to grow out a crack-nail on my thumb to push the buttons while texting. It's not a bad phone, I just wouldn't recommend it over some of the other, better touch screens out there.
By the way, the Behold that is to the right is not the one I have. That one looks way cooler, actually.
Virgin Mobile
I don't know too much about Virgin Mobile, and their prices on Amazon aren't exactly much cheaper as you would find elsewhere. I added them, however, so the Virgin Mobile fans wouldn't feel left out. Don't ever say I never did anything for you.
